Security that works with the venue.

Good venue security should be noticeable when it's needed and unobtrusive when it isn't. Whether it's an exhibition, corporate event, bar, nightclub or live show, the security team needs to understand how the venue operates and how customers are expected to move through it.

Typical security problems.

  • Entrances becoming overwhelmed during peak arrival times
  • Restricted areas accessed by unauthorised visitors
  • Difficult behaviour escalating before anyone intervenes
  • Queue management causing frustration at entrances
  • Backstage or back-of-house areas left unsecured
  • Incidents between guests going unreported
  • Security supplier cancelling at short notice before an event
  • Staffing levels not matching the actual crowd size and risk

What guarding can cover.

  • Entrance and access management throughout the event
  • Door supervision at licensed premises where confirmed as a Guard Secure service
  • Crowd management and queue organisation
  • Restricted-area and backstage access control
  • Guest and ticket entry point management
  • Staff support and liaison with venue management
  • Incident response and de-escalation
  • Supporting emergency and evacuation procedures

Where patrols may make sense.

  • Perimeter checks at outdoor events and festivals
  • Regular patrols through exhibition halls during open hours
  • Checking restricted and back-of-house areas between peak times
  • Closing-time sweeps and securing the venue after the event

Keyholding relevance.

Keyholding can support venues that need out-of-hours access — for example, early setup by event contractors or late-night securing after an event has finished.

Where we work.

Guard Secure is based in Kent and works across London and the wider South East.

Events & hospitality security questions.

Door supervision at licensed premises may require an SIA Door Supervisor licence. We don't claim every officer is licensed for door supervision. Talk to us about your venue and we'll confirm what we can provide.

If another provider has cancelled or you suddenly need additional security staff, tell us what you need and when. We'll confirm what's realistically possible.

Yes. Guard Secure can work directly with event organisers, venue management or event agencies. The assignment instructions set out who the team reports to and how communication works.

Give us the site, location and hours you need. We'll take it from there.
